Lake Bomoseen History

Lake Bomoseen has connections to Vermont's slate industry and a storied past as a resort destination in the early 20th century — including Neshobe Island's historic stone house, built in the 1920s–1930s by Alexander Woollcott, once a private social club whose guests included Harpo Marx and Noël Coward.
